79China will install in the next five years a new generation of weather radars throughout the country to improve meteorological services and better measure of the extreme weather changes, learn from official sources on Wednesday. The Meteorological Bureau of China (BMC) said that the new radars are located in key regions for the weather in regions not currently covered by the national weather forecast and the more developed regions where weather-related disasters occur frequently. Shourong Wang, deputy director of BMC, said that these cameras monitor the extreme weather patterns in rural and coastal areas, on rivers, many of the transmission lines and in economic areas. They will

be able to meet the demands of professionals such as irrigation, aviation, marine and forestry The State Commission for Development and Reform announced a plan to install 158 weather radar in China by 2010.
