The government of Chongqing has recently organized a meeting of investment in the area of TD-SCDMA to build in China the first industrial area with 3G wireless technology, supporting 18 investment projects in several companies, including IBM and Infineon. The total investment intentions at 15.63 billion yuan. Huang Qifan, executive vice mayor of Chongqing, said the city welcomes these TD-SCDMA industry elites to enter the base with technologies and leave it with money. Located in the industrial park in Chongqing, in the new city of Chayuan, the industrial platform of TD-SCDMA Chongqing cover the whole chain of chip terminals and 3G applications.
